took a twenty year old Il Tirreno

LIVORNO. The Carabinieri reported a twenty-year-old of Sicilian origin, resident in the province of Pisa, identified as “the author of an attempted scam with the so-called “mirror technique” against a foreign tourist in her early forties passing through the city”.

The young man met the holidaymaker, heading towards the ferry to Sardinia, after refueling at a petrol station in via Leonardo Da Vinci. When leaving the service area, the woman heard a thud on the right side of her car and immediately afterwards noticed a white Audi A3 following her a short distance away, flashing its headlights as if to signal her to stop. . After coming alongside the woman, her driver gave her the order to stop and pull over, also using a certain vehemence in her gestures and manner.

However, the woman, becoming suspicious of the entire dynamics of the so rapid and surreal episode, “intended not to comply with the request of the stranger who appeared out of nowhere and continued to follow her own path, making him understand that she would not stop”. At the same time you promptly informed the police “promptly providing them with all useful information and descriptions on the subject you were asking them to pull over, on your car and on the place you were passing through”.

Having received the call, it took the patrol on duty at the Livorno Centro station a few moments to reach the lady. Unfortunately, when the police arrived, the car with the suspected fraudster disappeared, accelerating and overtaking the victim. However, the man was still reported.
