There Sicily it is an increasingly popular open-air set. They are indeed 73 the production company who have requested contributions for the notice published on 22 March 2024 and closed the following May 6th. The announcement makes available 3.5 million euros non-refundable for the production, in the regional territory, of feature films for cinema or TV, TV series, short films and documentaries.
The companies that presented projects for a film or TV series were 50 in total (of which 42 passed to the next evaluation phase), while there were 21 documentary projects and 2 short films.
The production company Bibi Film presented the most financially expensive project, 17.5 million per The blunder by Roberto Andò, in response to a financing request of 500 thousand euros; the same amount was requested by Palomar to make the fourth season of Makari (almost 8 million estimated expenditure); from Showlab to make the film Fury; by Immagine Corporation Production for Broken Dreams; by Indiana Production for I am the end of the world; from Filmin’ Tuscany for Limit; by Paradox Studios for Iguana Song. Italian International Film would like to make the film Love looks good on everything, in response to a request for a contribution of 400 thousand euros. The project Caravaggio in Syracuserequests, from the company La Terra de Punt, a loan of 320 thousand euros, another 490 thousand euros were requested by La Movie 4.0 for Palermo Interior Night.
Having submitted an application for assistance does not imply obtaining funding, which will be awarded following evaluation and assignment of a score by the Film Commission.
