Another large cloud full of sand from the Sahara desert is on its way to Italy.
There will therefore still be yellowish skies and surreal atmospheres over much of central-western Europe, a bit like what already happened during the Easter weekend. The particular baric configuration expected in the next few days, which pits a powerful player against each other cyclone off the British Isles and the African anticyclonic promontory on the Mediterranean basin, will be the basis of a constant call of currents directly from the North African desert.
This immense atmospheric mechanism will favor the arrival of large quantities of desert dust which will be concentrated in suspension at the highest altitudes of the atmosphere, ready to reach our country and the rest of the Old Continent after a long journey.
From Saturday 6 April and above all in the following days let’s look forward to it heavy skies Of desert dust, dark, milky or yellowish (in some cases also reddish, especially near dawn and sunset).
What are the areas most at risk? To tell the truth, almost all of them, but in particular, as can be seen from the SKIRON map which we report below, the regions of Central-North, France, Spain, Switzerland and Germany.
