Work, freedom of the press and the fight against precarious employment: three days of training in Sicily

Appointments on 9 April in Messina, 10 in Ragusa and Syracuse and 11 April 2024 in Catania. Among the speakers are the general secretary Alessandra Costante, the director of the Fnsi Tommaso Daquanno, the national councilor Roberto Ginex, the provincial secretary of Messina Sergio Magazzù and the president of the regional council of Assostampa and coordinator of the national self-employment commission Tiziana Tavella.

Three days of appointments in Sicily, from 9 to 11 April, with the general secretary of the Fnsi Alessandra Costante who will meet colleagues from Messina, Ragusa, Siracusa and Catania in a series of training courses in which the urgencies of the category will be addressed from precariousness to press freedom at risk.

With the number one of the unitary union of journalists, the director of the Fnsi Tommaso Daquanno, the national councilor Roberto Ginex, the provincial secretary of Messina Sergio Magazzù and the president of the regional council of Assostampa Sicilia and coordinator of the Labor Commission will be present as speakers at the courses national independent of the Fnsi Tiziana Tavella.

The first stop will be on 9 April, at 3pm, in the Dicam lecture hall of the University of Messina for the course moderated by the vice-president of the regional council Attilio Borda Bossana on ‘Journalists yesterday, today and tomorrow: the changing profession, the profession that will be.

On April 10th, after a meeting at 12pm in Ragusa, the course moderated by the provincial secretary of Assostampa Siracusa, Prospero Dente on ‘Freedom of the press, gag rules and precarious journalism’ will take place in Syracuse, in the Giulio Pastore room of the CISL, at 4pm : limits of the right to report and risks and rights of journalists’.

On April 11th at 9am, appointment in Catania, at Palazzo delle Scienze – Department of Economics and Business for a seminar on ‘An innovative welfare for the professions of the future. New employment contract and journalists’ rights’ introduced by the provincial secretary of Assostampa Catania Filippo Romeo and moderated by the member of the Assostampa regional council Rosario Faraci, professor of Economics and business management at the Etna University.
