“We need a consolidated text on renewable energy that helps companies to navigate the regulatory labyrinth on energy communities and self-consumption groups and on the different types of incentives for agricultural and industrial plants”.
This was stated by the president of Federterziario L’Aquila Massimo Lombardo who, addressing the parliamentarians of Abruzzo, and therefore the legislator, asks that “all the rules present on the subject be reorganized under a consolidated text which can be a tool that can be used more easily by businesses and designers”.
“As a trade association that works alongside professionals who design and companies that build photovoltaic or renewable energy production systems – notes Lombardo – we encounter a difficulty on the part of the end user regarding the interpretation of the reference legislation, given the multitude of provisions that make inaccessible a sector which, on the contrary, should be expanding and easy to use”.
Among the activities of Federterziario there is also legal support, relating to the interpretation of the law in question, and structural support, thanks to a technical service that accompanies the company, the citizen, and the Municipality itself in the organization of the Renewable energy community (Cer) or self-consumption groups (Gac) for the regular application of the current regulations.
Renewable energy communities and self-consumption groups are forms of bottom-up self-organization created to encourage the active involvement of citizens in the country’s energy transition process and to counteract the increase in energy prices for families, businesses and administrations, through the development of self-production and zero-mile consumption of energy from renewable sources, thus promoting a new type of collective and solidarity business aggregation made up of producers and consumers, the so-called community of ‘prosumers’ (producers – consumers).
