NATIONAL DAY – Tuesday 2 April 2024 the Rotonda Foschini lights up blue
Blue lighting for the Rotonda Foschini – between Corso Giovecca and Corso Martiri della Libertà, in Ferrara – which the Municipality of Ferrara lights up on the occasion of the April 2 2024 to celebrate the World Autism Awareness Day upon proposal ofcouncilor for social policies Cristina Coletti.
The suggestive oval-shaped courtyard, which is an integral part of the architecture of the Municipal Theater of Ferrara, will thus become a visible reminder in support of the rights of families and people with autism spectrum disorders.
This elliptical urban and intimate space is named after the architect Antonio Foschini as co-designer of the theatre. Now used as a pedestrian area, the passage once served spectators heading to the Ferrara theater aboard a carriage to go down under the portico of Corso Martiri della Libertà, where the entrance to the Claudio Abbado municipal theater opens in front of the Estense Castle. The car could then continue, re-entering the road on Corso Giovecca.
