Viterbo – Crushed asphalt in via Garbini and via della Palazzina. Two of many. To the point that the new asphalting of the mayor Chiara Frontini’s administration seems to give the idea of a patch to plug some holes.

After Santa Barbara, Tusciaweb’s journey continues to verify the state of the streets of the city of the popes. And there are so many potholes along the streets of Viterbo that passing over them, with your scooter or car, feels like you are on top of the Tagadà, one of those old-fashioned rides that made you jump out of your seat.
Viterbo – Near via Garbini and via Cardarelli
Via Garbini is one of the main urban arteries which, just outside the walls of Porta Fiorentina, leads towards the northern Cassia and the entrance to the Orte-Civitavecchia crossroads. In between there are public offices, municipal departments, commercial activities, large and small, of all kinds.

A road, via Garbini, with cracked asphalt, often dotted with potholes and depressions. And the side streets are even worse. From via Cardarelli, where there are trade unions, the state archive, the student house and the provincial headquarters of the financial police to via Fausto Ricci.

Same quadrant, another street. Via della Palazzina which, from the shopping center area, leads to Pratogiardino Lucio Battisti and Porta Fiorentina, passing through the Rocchi stadium, which is also in a state of abandonment. In these parts the asphalt is so broken up that, at a certain point, it seems to resemble the pavement of a Roman road.
