Fifth place in the Pool Salvation it was won last Sunday thanks to the 3-0 over Sirdeco. And now theHermaea Olbia she has every intention of defending it until the end to ensure another season in the A2 Women’s Volleyball Series.

Penultimate match of the season for the Tavolarine Eagles, who will visit the Nuvolì Altafratte Paduaa team already relegated to B1 (ninth place with 19 points) but eager to leave the category with good performances, as demonstrated by the success in the tie break last Sunday at the expense of Melendugno.

Confident thanks to the last two successes at the expense of Soverato and Pescara, Schmit and her teammates will try to repeat the victory of the first leg, won in 3 sets at the Geopalace on February 25th (20 points Orlandi, 12 Gannar, 11 Fontemaggi). In the last away match of 2023/24, the objective is to win to arrive in the best possible conditions at the last match of the championship, with the hermeine called to face the direct, perhaps decisive, clash against Bologna at home.

Coach Dino Guadalupi: “The objective is first of all to confirm the good things expressed in the first leg, when a very good defensive wall organization did not allow them to find the key to the problem in the game, giving rise to a match rather in control on our part . At the same time we don’t expect to find an opponent willing to give gifts: despite the certainty of relegation, Padova plays to honor the championship, as demonstrated against Melendugno. Aggression and clarity must be the basis on which to assert our greatest motivations in terms of results. The matches against Soverato and Pescara gave us greater awareness and also a different maturity in terms of management. The other element that gives us confidence is the fact that we have the entire squad available and therefore also several useful weapons to overcome moments of difficulty.”

Teams on the pitch on Saturday 30 March at 5pm at the Trebaseleghe Palasport (Padua). Claudia Angelucci and Deborah Proietti will referee. The match will be visible in live streaming (subject to free registration) on the volleyballworld.tv website.
