Police department lined up in riot gear, cars whizzing by with sirens blaring, cars burning down, rebellions and arrests on the suburban streets. In short, total panic. For real? No, just pretend. Too bad something went wrong and in the end the firefighters carried out the intervention seriously after being called by alarmed residents and motorists. It happened at 8.30pm, in Parco Dora, under the stripping roof of the Vitali area. Where he turned around for a few hours “Block 181”, the famous Sky Atlantic television series arrived at the second season. Directed by Giuseppe Capotondi, Matteo Bonifazio and Ciro Visco, but above all with the participation of rapper Salmo as actor and music supervisor. During the filming of the series, two cars were set on firein a scene where we also see around fifty officers lined up in anti-riot gear with helmets, shields and truncheons.

All obviously fake, but that was enough for passers-by and residents of the surrounding buildings to call 112 and the fire station (as seen in Francesco Sordello’s video). Also because the flames were high and clearly visible even from the nearby Corso Svizzera. Evidently, someone thought that an arsonist had actually set fire to the vehicles in Dora Park and that those policemen were actually arresting thugs. After all, the rapper Salmo’s series talks about crime and gang warfare in the popular neighborhoods of the city (of Milan, but this time the choice of location fell on Turin). And finally, the firefighters received the call and intervened with sirens blaring. Also because, apparently, no one had notified the Corso Regina Margherita command that there would be filming. However, for safety there was a specialized company, local police, the Red Cross and forest firefighting volunteers. The fact is that when they arrived at Parco Dora the firefighters discovered that there was no arsonist and that the fire on the cars had been set falsely. Or rather, the fire was real and the firefighters, seeing as they were already on site, lent the production a hand in putting out the flames, since the workers on the set seemed to be in difficulty. All resolved in a few minutes, while filming resumed and continued throughout the night.
