Also this year, Circolo Controtempo, a point of reference for jazz in Friuli Venezia Giulia and beyond, waiting to start its programming which includes festivals and events in various formats expected throughout the regional territory, joins theInternational Jazz DayThat Tuesday 30 April will see artists and enthusiasts mobilize all over the world to highlight the importance of jazz music in our society, but also to transform the streets and squares into a global stage of harmony and rhythm. And to increasingly underline the cross-border and borderless spirit with which it has operated for years, Controtempo has chosen to celebrate Jazz day with the Slovenian saxophonist Boštjan Simon, who will be at the Arci Gong in Gorizia on Tuesday at 9pm (free entry) and bringing the docu-film “Berchidda live”, trip to the famous festival created by Paolo Fresu, scheduled Thursday 2 May at 8.30 pm in the Gorizia cinema palace (iEntrance 5 euros, info: https://www.kinemax.it)

Boštjan Simonon sax and electronic effectswill bring his to the stage project “Fermented Reality”, in which he explores the fusion of acoustic and electronic sounds coming from the saxophone and the modular synthesizer. The percussive keys of the saxophone are amplified and processed by external effects, while the new experimental Octosens interactive module allows you to activate oscillators in the modular system. The interaction between these different possibilities creates an intriguing game, exploring the electroacoustic coupling and decoupling of heterogeneous sounds. And the cold object of the saxophone comes to life in a process of creative “fermentation”, similar to an anaerobic transformation capable of offering an incomparable musical experience.
