“Bible Festival”, begins the ninth edition of the event promoted by the Seventh-day Adventist Christian Church of Cesena. The theme, presented this morning at a press conference in the premises of via Carlo Emilio Gadda 300, in Case Finali, will be “In the name of God and peace”.

“Certainly a current topic. With this edition of the Bibbia Festival it is our desire to propose reflections without rhetoric, in an integrated and systemic perspective – said the pastor of Cesena Roberto Iannò -. It is a transversal theme that concerns each person and religious confession: if peace is not created within us, we cannot bring it out. Everyone is called in their own life.” The festive Bible begins tomorrow, Friday 29 March and continues until 18 May.

“Building bridges through the sacred text”: thus Giovanni Benini, coordinator of the continued reading of the New Testament in Piazza Giovanni Paolo II, in front of the Cathedral of Cesena, presented the 22nd edition of the Reading that will begin tomorrow evening, Friday 29 March at 8pm. Pastor Iannò will open the continuous reading relay. The mayor of Cesena Enzo Lattuca will follow. About 250 readers will take turns reading until 8pm on Saturday 30 March. The Masci (Italian Catholic Scout Adult Movement), the Focolare Movement, the Equestrian Order of the Holy Sepulcher of Jerusalem (Romagna delegation) and employees of the “Casa Mia” retirement home in Forlì took part in the reading. “It is our desire to meet around the Word on Good Friday, the day in which the different confessions experience the Passion despite their different spiritualities. We are in the most visible square in the city, a place of passage, precisely to give a strong sign. At the moment of the passage of the city’s Via Crucis arriving at the Cathedral, we will have a moment of prayer together”. In the list of readers we note, among the many names, some “Words of the wayfarer”: “These are ’empty’ shifts to give those who approach the stand, perhaps intrigued or hesitant, a little encouraged, the opportunity to read. And it’s always an emotional moment for everyone.”

Continued reading begins on Bible Festival which continues with a series of events, in presence in the rooms of the Adventist Church in via Carlo Emilio Gadda in Case Finali in Cesena and live on www.hopemedia.it/diretta-cesena. Among the first, the meeting on Saturday 6 April at 11am entitled “Cristiano rhymes with Peace” led by the pastor of the Adventist Church Roberto Iannò. At 4pm, in the public gardens, “God on the road” concert: four young Adventist musicians will present their musical project. Dialogue and interaction: the second edition of the event will be held on Friday 17 May “Choirs in chorus” of the Christian communities of the Cesena area. Among the participants, the choir of the parishes of Gattolino, Gambettola and Santo Stefano

From March 29th to May 19th, from Easter to Pentecost, I will continue with the “Relay of the Word”. Christians of different confessions, united in love for the Word of God, will welcome the Book in various churches and communities in the area to “underline the importance of the Word of God in the lives of individuals and Christian communities. The bond between the different Christian churches will also be made visible, united in love for the Word of God and in the commitment to safeguard and communicate the message of salvation contained in the Holy Scriptures”, underline the promoters. The Bible will leave after the conclusion of the continued reading in Piazza Giovanni Paolo II and will be on Saturday 30 March at the convent of the Capuchin friars in Cesena (at 5pm, by Masci).
