The disappearance of Matteo Marzano leaves incredulous those who knew him and saw his strong character, to the point of appearing impervious to events contrary to his pursuit of the redemption and valorization of the most fragile. Since 2011, many trajectories have been followed by the Social Cooperative “L’Abbraccio” which he presides over, with a barrage of interventions for physical and mental distress. Then, the Social Restaurant, which over the years has seen many sit at the canteen, at the symbolic cost of 1 euro, to enjoy a complete meal. Enthusiastic about this other initiative, Matteo continued as a good family man to harmonize volunteers, guests, new faces in the family home and in the canteen where friendship and solidarity are a daily accompaniment. Now, before God, his hands swollen with good works: with that charity also broken to migrants and to anyone who asked for help for various needs. Life passes… but the bag remains full of daily sparkling actions, sown along the streets of the world, living the Gospel every day, a timeless handbook of love, which over two thousand years ago Christ, in that Earth still tormented by belligerence, transmitted to men of all times.
