BRINDISI – Sport, fun and also the right adrenaline for healthy competition. Many emotions this morning in the sea of ​​Marina di Brindisi where the first races of the Hansa class paralympic regatta of the Italian Sailing Federation “Coppa Forte a mare” took place. The event is organized by the Italian Naval League section. of Brindisi and by the GV3 association (A Gonfie vele verso la vita) with the collaboration of the Lega Navale of Trani and the Lega Navale of San Foca.

This morning the crews were busy in the first three races of the regatta. 13 boats with 26 athletes participated, there were also racers from other Italian regions, such as Marche and Sicily. The regatta course was set out in the body of water close to the Forte a Mare castle. Dozens of colored sails formed the backdrop to a wonderful scenery. Symbol of integration and breaking down of all barriers.

The eastern wind made the challenge that led the Liberi nel vento club from the Marche region to victory on this first day even more exciting.

The competition will resume tomorrow 28 April. The appointment is at 10.30 am at the N pier of the Marina di Brindisi tourist port and will end with the awards ceremony at 1.00 pm.

The Hansa is a boat accessible to all that guarantees safe navigation and especially allows people with disabilities to experience the thrill of a sailing competition. This is the first Paralympic regatta in Puglia.
