The triumph of Ic Vasari of Arezzo: champions in the student handball championships – Arezzo News

The provincial school competition saw the boys and girls of the city school put themselves to the test with two teams who, in the Cadet category, competed with excellent results against their peers from across the province. The event was hosted in the same gym as the Ic Vasari and gave particular satisfaction to the “host” teams who deserved a first place, a second place and a qualification for the second regional phase.

The greatest satisfactions were experienced by the men’s team which brought together students from different classes of the lower secondary school who won the final against Ic Severi and thus became provincial champions.
In addition to the joy of success, this group will now be able to experience the pride of representing the province of Arezzo in the Tuscan championships scheduled for Wednesday 10 April in Montecatini.

Another good result was achieved by the Cadettes who only surrendered in the final after a balanced match which ended in a draw in regulation time and was decided by the penalty shootout which forced the IC Vasari students to settle for second place.

The student handball championships demonstrated the technical skills and spirit of collaboration within the two student teams, crowning the path set by the motor science teachers Irene Leti and Laura Panoni who prepared the kids by transmitting the values necessary to participate in the competition and , above all, to experience sport as an opportunity for growth and socialization.

These goals reaffirm the commitment of IC Vasari in activities in the field of sport and well-being in pre-adolescent age, following the collaboration with Petrarca Pallamano of Arezzo, the meetings with CONI and with Arezzo Calcio for the project “At school of typhus”, and the “A champion for a friend” path on health and eating disorders.
