The award ceremony took place yesterday in the Fusco theater in Taranto. After the interviews with the five finalist authors, conducted by Giorgio Zanchini, the winners of this eighth edition were announced.

The schools that joined the “Tell me about journalism” project, after following Annalisa Camilli’s masterclass, produced a narrative investigation/report. Annalisa Camilli declared the work of the Liceo De Sanctis Galilei of Manduria as the best work with the investigation “Under the surface”, interviews on gender violence.

For the “Student Award” section, “Un autumn in August” by Agnese Pini (Chiarelettere) and “Mal di Libia” by Nancy Porsia (Bompiani) were awarded ex aequo

Francesca Coin (Einaudi) won the “Alessandro Leogrande Award” 2024 “The great resignations”

President Orietta Limitone proclaimed the winning title. Maria Giannico, mother of Alessandro Leogrande, awarded the plaque for this eighth edition.

“The great resignation” by Francesca Coin (Einaudi)
“Environmental Spring” by Ferdinando Cotugno (The Margin)
“An Autumn in August” by Agnese Pini (Chiareletters)
“Mal di Libya” by Nancy Porsia (Bompiani)

The Award is conceived and organized by the Presìdi del libro association, with the Municipality of Taranto, and the support of the Puglia Region. Objective, to keep alive the passion and memory of Alessandro Leogrande, journalist and writer – who passed away prematurely – who dedicated much of his work to civil, environmental and social issues, linked to the territory that saw him born (Taranto) and then extended the gaze from Africa to the Balkans, up to embracing the entire world…
