Hit by a stray bullet while she was sitting at a table in a bar. A girl was accidentally injured by a gunshot fired in retaliation for one brawl between rival gangs in Sezze, in the province of Latina. The young woman was rushed to hospital but she is not in serious condition.
The brawl
The episode occurred around 1 am between Saturday 27 and Sunday 28 April. Shortly before, a fight had broken out in the Ferro di Cavallo area, in the center of the municipality in the province of Latina. Two rival gangs had faced each other not far from the bar where the girl was hit: after some skirmishes the two groups came to blows, but within a few minutes the scuffles seemed to have calmed down.
However, one of the people involved pulled out his gun and fired a shot in front of the Central Cafè bar. The bullet was not aimed at the girl who was not involved in the fight, but it was ricochet wound on the foot.

The 118 health personnel immediately arrived and urgently transported the victim to the Latina Santa Maria Goretti hospital, where she underwent surgery to take the bullet out of her.

On social media the mayor of Sezze, Lidano Lucidi, commented on the episode, reassuring the citizens: “I am in very close contact with the police – declared the mayor – Now I am in hospital to check on the girl’s condition”.
“I want to express the utmost closeness of the city of Sezze, to the girl and her family – he added – as well as affirming full trust in the work of the police, who I am sure will bring that criminal to justice!”.
