New episodes of theft and damage in Sassari.
The Sassari municipal council addresses the escalation of thefts and damages in the city, on the initiative of the centre-right councillor Mariolino Andria. The administration will be called upon to respond to concerns regarding city safety.
“This majority took office in July 2019 promising safety and protection of the most sensitive sites in the city. For example, the historic center and the schools, but with the imminent expiry of the council the situation appears even worse than in the past – says the councilor Mariolino Andria -. It appears evident that this so-called majority of citizens has clearly failed to plan video surveillance, lighting and protection systems to prevent the most sensitive sites. On main forms of prevention: many episodes of theft, burglary and vandalism are based on a marked social emergency in the city resulting from a widespread cultural drying up and a marked resignation and indifference to degradationpresent in different areas of the city and in symbolic places of Sassari”.
