After the initial delays in the works, which should have started last September according to the council’s announcements but which were postponed, the external transformation of the “Allende” Sports Hall in Cinisello Balsamo seems to have gotten underway. Mayor Giacomo Ghilardi himself published the photo of the construction site on social media.

“The redevelopment works are proceeding at full speed, with significant progress in the implementation of this important intervention, worth 1 million euros. Our Sports Hall is not only a place for entertainment and sporting activities, but will also be a point of reference for cultural events and meetings”, writes the mayor.

The restyling, entirely financed by the PNRR, concerns the extraordinary maintenance of the facades aimed at improving the energy performance of the building. The structural and plant adaptation will transform the arena into a sustainable building thanks to an architectural “wing” on the east and north side of the existing structure to contribute to energy production; the glass windows will also be replaced with more energetically performing ones, equipped with sunshade-type shielding elements, designed to support solar and photovoltaic panels.
