These are his words: “I certainly wasn’t able to get on the right train, maybe I wasn’t very mature. The only regret I have is that at 25 I could have done a C and I refused an offer. The past is gone, now but I’m enjoying the moment. I’m excited, it’s really wonderful to have a season like that in a place like Avellino. Many told me that scoring 20 goals in Francavilla and doing them in Avellino wasn’t the same I did it. I’m happy to have finished as top scorer, together with Murano, now I have to pay for the team’s dinner.”
The bond: “I always have to thank Avellino, it’s the first important place I’ve played in, here it’s as if I were playing in Serie B. I gave answers even to the most sceptical, I took criticism. I suffered in silence. From Today, however, I’m putting everything aside, the icing on the cake is missing which is Serie B, we will do everything to achieve it for us and for the fans.”
Different penalty: “I studied their goalkeeper, I was convinced that he was going to the left and so I went calmly, the ball was heavy, it was important for us.”
