Amaranth youth sector weekend report

UNDER 17 NATIONALS // AREZZO – BOLD CERIGNOLA 5-0
Splendid success for Mister Bernardini’s students who scored five goals against the Audace Cerignola and continued their pursuit of a place in the final phase. Star of the day, Captain Sussi, author of a splendid hat-trick; there are 18 goals in the championship for the son of art who scored a truly excellent performance. Not least his teammate Edoziogor, who scored twice and was a real thorn in the side of the visiting defence. With 90 minutes left in the tournament, the situation at the top is truly tangled with four teams – Arezzo, Pescara, Latina and Perugia – playing for the last two passes to the final phase.

UNDER 15 NATIONALS // AREZZO-AUDACE CERIGNOLA 4-1
Already certain of first place in the final, Mister Peruzzi’s Giovanissimi did not lower their guard and won on the ‘Caselle’ pitch against Cerignola. Over the last weekend the teams of the Amaranth youth sector participated in some prestigious tournaments. Here is the report.

10th SPORT EVENT TROPHY
Event Trophy” took place from Thursday 25th to Sunday 28th April 2024, on the Romagna Riviera between Gabicce, Cattolica and Misano. Arezzo participated with three groups of young players from its youth sector, obtaining excellent results. The 2010 Youth Group ‘Accademia Arezzo’, coached by Mister Paolo Rubetti, obtained second place overall in their category after surrendering in the last match played only on penalties. Excellent performance also by the two groups of rookies: the 2012 teams led by mister Franchi and Filippo Borgogni finished in fourth place, while the 2013 teams led by mister Fausto D’Ascola gained access to the final silver group. It should be remembered that all the groups that participated in the tournament fielded youngsters who were one year younger than their category.

VIESSE CUP
The prestigious ‘Viesse Cup’ took place in the splendid setting of Pompeii, which saw the Cavallino Under 13 Pros at the starting line. The boys of Mister Massimiliano Fini and Elia Testi, after a splendid journey, reached the final against Napoli, putting themselves behind famous teams such as Salernitana and Pescara. In the end the Neapolitans prevailed but Arezzo farewelled the tournament leaving an excellent impression both from a technical and behavioral point of view, also receiving compliments from the organization in this regard.
