The Giallorossi at home to improve their statistics and celebrate, the Green and Whites away with an eye on the play offs.
Last day of the regular season for the Eccellenza championship, with destinies already sealed for Sambiase and Vigor Lamezia.
For the league leaders, after the promotion celebration which occurred with the victory against Paolana, the last home parade hosting Scalea in search of points to maintain the best play-out position: with the already official relegations of Gioiese and Castrovillari from Serie D to Eccellenza, and the possible play out between San Luca and Locri to decree a third Calabrian team relegated, of the 4 teams currently involved in the fight for salvation only one will remain in the top Calabrian amateur championship.
From the Giallorossi front they will try to close the thirteenth match without conceding a goal (thus remaining Italy’s least beaten defense from the Eccellenza level upwards), and achieve the fifteenth victory in as many matches at the “Gianni Renda” as the last stimuli before the final catwalk season which will see the Super Cup dispute next week against the winners of the Promotion groups A and B (Rossanese and Ardore). Immediately afterwards in via Savutano the new season will have to be planned both on a sporting and structural level, as the final approval of the design is imminent and the construction site to modernize the stadium with Pnrr funds will begin in the following months.
As happened last Sunday at the home of Stilomonasterace, rotation of the elements available by Mr. Morelli is expected, with an eye also on the under teams given the final of the Under 19 championship which will see the team coached by Mr. Cuda face Praiatortora on May 2nd on the synthetic pitch of the federal center of Catanzaro.
Turn over between the probable and the obligatory (4 defenders out of 9 available) also for Vigor Lamezia at home to Praiatortora, with Mr. Aita’s team which to continue the season should score a victory of its own and a home defeat of Cittanova against the already relegated Stilomonasterace (Reggio Calabria who, like the two Lametina teams, have never lost at home this season), having equal points to their advantage the direct clash won in the return leg after the first leg draw, but also Soriano in Brancaleone (due to the 10 point gap rule to play in the play offs).
Biancoverdi who will not be able to count on the suspended Curcio, Amendola and Villella, as well as the injured Scalon and De Nisi (Mascaro called up but to be evaluated) who will want to recover for the regional play-off final which will be played on May 12th at the “Guido D’Ippolito” being able to count on two results out of three after extra time to reach the national phase (tomorrow Bisceglie – Molfetta will be played to decide who will then face Ugento, and then establish the challengers in the semi-final between teams from Puglia and Calabria scheduled for the first leg on May 26th and return on June 2).
