The confirmation comes from the podium achieved in the special classification Of Taste Atlas. The well-known guide which collects reviews and rankings from food experts and critics has drawn up a list of 150 restaurants iconic places to eat at least once in your life. The most important were selected for longevity, reliability, iconic status of the restaurant and its gastronomic offerings as well as customer ratings.

The first place

At the top of the ranking dedicated to iconic restaurants in the world, Taste Atlas has placed Figlmüller of Vienna, born in 1905 as a small winery and then becoming the most renowned restaurant in the Austrian capital.

Of the 23,751 traditional restaurants serving local dishes present in the database, the guide has selected 150, trying to select the most important ones for longevity, reliability, iconic status of the restaurant and its proposals, and visitor ratings. More than just places to stop and eat, they are icons, cultural institutions that the country can boast of to the rest of the world. Italy did very well.

Naples reigns

In second place in the ranking is Pizzeria da Michele, the most famous and loved in Naples. Third place went to Germany, at the historic Hofbräuhaus München in the heart of Munich. In fourth place is another Neapolitan restaurant, the Pizzeria Gino Sorbillo ai Decumani.

Naples is also in the ranking with Pizzeria Starita in Materdei (23rd place), Antica Pizzeria e Friggitoria Di Matteo (41st place), Da Nennella (126th place).
