With the last episode of “Chesarà” Serena Bortone’s adventure on the RAI channels perhaps ended. There is a new destination
An endless wave of controversies, a very tough clash and in the end the inevitable farewell. The story involving the journalist Serena Bortonewhich came into conflict with RAI due to the anti-fascist monologue by the writer Antonio Scurati who was allegedly the victim of censorship, held sway for days on the front pages of websites and newspapers.
The controversy between the presenter of “What will be” and the leaders of Viale Mazzini gradually escalated, until it reached its climax with the angry declaration ofCEO of RAI, Roberto Sergio: “We should have fired her for the way she behaved“.
At this point it remains to be understood whether the words will be followed by actions or whether it is an outburst of the CEO of the Viale Mazzini company destined to return to the ranks. However, the clear feeling remains that the relations between the Roman journalist and the public television broadcaster are now compromised.
Nonetheless, Serena Bortone has never stopped calling herself a “public service soldier“, in the name and by virtue of a working relationship that has now lasted for several years. His professional future is therefore characterized by substantial uncertainty which should be resolved in the coming weeks.

The only certain fact is that “Chesarà”, the talk show broadcast only on Saturdays and Sundays during prime time access, will not be confirmed. On Saturday in place of Serena Bortone journalist Peter Gomez should go with the program “La Confessione”.
As for Sunday the RAI leaders are instead thinking about an extra episode of Report, in addition obviously to the usual one broadcast on Monday evenings. For now, these are simple hypotheses awaiting official confirmation.

In the end, however, the Roman journalist and presenter’s stay in Saxa Rubra cannot be ruled out a priori. In fact Serena Bortone is linked to RAI from a permanent contract as editor-in-chief.
A big problem for the managers of Viale Mazzini who if they could they would send her away without much ceremony. Everything is therefore marked by profound uncertainty, a tangle destined to unravel in the coming weeks.
