The judge’s sentence was pronounced on Thursday 27 June. A painful moment for Nadia Bengala, present in the courtroom unlike her daughter, Diana Schivardi, who did not take part in the hearing. A sentence that refers to what happened last March 19 when the daughter of the former Miss Italy had tried to stealing from inside some vehicles parked on a street in Rome. The intervention of a passerby had triggered the reaction of the girl who attacked and injured him, according to what was claimed by the prosecution.
Damage, theft, attempted robbery and injuries, these are the charges of the first degree conviction. “My daughter is unconscious. She doesn’t understand what is happening to her. He doesn’t see that he’s walking on the edge of a precipice. It is slowly sliding towards the abyss and will never rise again from there – commented Nadia Bengala in the interview given to Courier -. This sentence, where it is established that she is only partially capable of understanding, is of no use to her. But it all proved useless, because she didn’t realize she was at a dead end.”

The former Miss Italy tried everything to help her take back the reins, but any attempt was in vain. “My daughter lives in a reality all her own, unfortunately,” he explained. “I dedicate every minute of my time to her. I do it with love, because she needs it. I explain to her, but she is far away, I don’t think she has grasped how serious the sentence is and the reasons behind it. Of course she hasn’t been indifferent. It was a painful day for her too. But there is still a detachment. She needs helpbut I too would need it to get her out of this nightmare.”
