Charles III, despite his health conditions, managed to take part in four of the five days while Kate Middleton was unable to reach her family.
The absence of the royal did not go unnoticed and left an unfillable void. In fact, many believed that she would take part in the event – considering her very recent appearance Trooping the Colour. The first public outing after months of absence was very demanding for the royal and for this reason she had to be absent from Ascot.
