FIVIZZANO – Who ever thought that Linda Cardellini, i.e. Samantha Taggart in the series ‘ER-Doctors on the front line’ was from Fivizzano? The Hollywood actress in fact has roots in Lunigiana. Linda Cardellini had previously worked on many TV series, including Freaks and Geeks. She made her big screen debut in 1998’s Strangeland, in 2001 she appeared in Legally Blonde, and in The Unsaid with Andy García. She plays Velma Dinkley in Scooby-Doo and the subsequent Scooby-Doo 2: Monsters Unleashed. In 2005 she starred in the award-winning Brokeback Mountain. In 2006 she played the role of manager Samantha in the film Cocco di nonna. In 2008 she starred in Lazarus Project – A mysterious plan.
In 2015 she starred in the film Avengers: Age of Ultron, where she played Laura Barton, wife of the superhero Hawkeye. In the same year, she participated in the American television series Bloodline, broadcast on the Netflix platform, with the role of Meg Rayburn, and in the film Daddy’s Home as Sara, which she will resume in 2017 with Daddy’s Home 2. She received an Independent Spirit nomination for her performance in the film Return. In 2018 she took part in the award-winning film Green Book, in the role of Dolores Vallelonga, alongside Viggo Mortensen.
