KIA EV3, the new electric SUV will be unveiled on May 23rd

KIA is preparing to debut the new EV3, an electric SUV which was anticipated by a concept in October 2023. The presentation has been set for May 23rd. At the same time, the Korean automaker shared some teasers which show details of the new car. The EV3 launch event can be followed in streaming via the automaker’s YouTube channel.

WHAT DO WE KNOW?

KIA EV3 has already been the protagonist of several spy photos thanks to which we have seen that its look will be similar to that of the concept car. The design is inspired by that of the EV9, in particular at the front with Y-shaped LED headlights. Obviously the overall dimensions will be smaller.

The philosophy “Opposites United” by KIA therefore continues to constitute the common thread that distinguishes the design of the entire range of the car manufacturer’s models. The Korean company has not said anything about the interior but pass spy photos had allowed us to notice the presence of a large panel with the displays of the instruments and the infotainment system inside.

Nothing has been said about the mechanics but it is likely that the car will have the Hyundai Group’s E-GMP platform. Obviously we will find out all the details in a couple of weeks when it will be officially presented. The car manufacturer added that with the new EV3 it aims to increase the possibility for customers to have access to electric mobility.

Intended to broaden the offering of KIA electric vehicles and extend the experience of the brand’s flagship EVs to the compact SUV segment, EV3 is proposed as a more accessible solution for those who intend to switch to electric mobility, giving a strong acceleration to global transition towards sustainable mobility.
