One hundred years after the Matteotti crime, the first presentation of the book “The Duce’s Justice”, written by the Theatine journalist and current president of WWF Italy Luciano Di Tizio will be in the Matteotti room of the Chamber of Deputies in Rome tomorrow, Tuesday 11 June at 11.

The event, in Parliament Square in Rome, will be attended by the Honorable Sergio Costa, vice-president of the Chamber of Deputies and Giovanna Casadio, journalist of the newspaper “la Repubblica”.

Di Tizio stumbled upon documents relating to the Matteotti trial many years ago during research for his degree thesis. In 2006 he published a volume (“Justice denied. Behind the scenes of the Matteotti trial”) entirely dedicated to that judicial affair. Today he resumes the discussion, expanding it with an overall look at the years in which fascism with its violence created a dictatorial regime thanks to favorable circumstances, more or less declared connivance and serious underestimations. On the occasion of the centenary of the assassination of Giacomo Matteotti, this publication takes on a particular significance, helping to renew historical memory and stimulate reflections on one of the darkest periods in Italian history. The presentation of the volume will be a moment of discussion and debate, open to the public, with the participation of experts, historians and representatives of the institutions.

The book “The Duce’s Justice” is published by Ianieri editions.
