Having returned to freedom and without an electronic bracelet, the artist Silvio Formichetti tries to forget his judicial misadventures by promoting his artistic activity. This morning he was a guest on the program Uno Mattina where he explained his artistic world starting from the origins to the latest compositions which have brought his art towards a third dimension. When asked by the host what he feels when he has the paintbrush in his hands, Formichetti said: “painting gives me sensations and emotions that I can hardly explain.
In the first period my paintings were characterized by representation and informality, in fact in the works you can see the nervous and confusing brushstroke with a landscape that can still be glimpsed on the horizon”. So over the years evolution has led him to an informal and gestural painting, which hides an intimate and personal discourse. Formichetti then also spoke about the experience he had with autistic children who, thanks to his support, created works by watching him paint. “An indescribable emotion,” added the artist from Prato who then recalled that he has been painting for twenty years now, thanks to a passion for art handed down to him by his father, and that he is the father of four children. In conclusion Formichetti illustrated his third and final professional phase which began 10 years ago thanks to the collaboration and suggestion of the art critic Luca Tommasi, and his subsequent evolution. “It started with applied art which evolved”, concluded Formichetti, “from suspended bodies to other experiments which are also having great success from a commercial point of view”. A window on Rai Uno which allowed the general television audience to get to know the contemporary art of the artist from Prato and, at the same time, Formichetti to restart his artistic journey which brought him so much satisfaction and success.
