Brescia. A Workers’ Day full of events in the Brescia area. In Brescia there will be three marchesall with the same starting point but with different routes. Events and initiatives are planned throughout the province.
At 9.00am on Wednesday 1st May the citizens of Brescia will meet in Garibaldi square: the parade of confederal trade unions (CGIL, CISL and UIL)focused on Europe, will close in Loggia square with a rally of Lara Ghiglioneresponsible for gender policies at the CGIL.
The second procession, the one launched by Communist struggle, will focus on “internationalist solidarity”. The conclusion is expected in Market Square.
The third event, with arrival in Rovetta squarewas launched by grassroots unions and extra-parliamentary movements: will be present collectivesThe Magazzino 47 social center and theRights for All association. A central role will be occupied by Palestine Coordination of Bresciawho will carry the huge Palestinian flag that will be displayed at his head.
TO Edolo is provided a united trade union demonstrationthe meeting place is at 10.00 in Piazza Mercato: the parade will begin with the mayor’s greetings and will end at 11 in Largo Mazzini. He will speak at the final rally Enrico Azzaro, regional secretary of Uil.
Various initiatives from the Christian world, from the CEI to the ACLI. The bishop of Brescia will celebrate a mass in the factoryat Dall’Era in Sabbio Chiese. The bishops’ conference has launched initiatives for a May Day dedicated to “work, participation and democracy”.
The Acli clubs of the Province organized around ten events against “poor, insecure and undignified work”. There are 3 events in the city: mass for work at 10.00 in the farmhouse Saint Anna, followed by aperitif; mass at the church of Urago Mella at 9.00, aperitif follows at the club; mass Saint Euphemia at Alfa Acciai at 10.30am, followed by casoncellata in the oratory.
