Ever closer to hosting the Sanremo Festival. And for Carlo Conti, who is preparing for the memorable evening dedicated to Donatello’s Davids, it is a homecoming: Sanremo has already led him, brilliantly. Rai, after the farewell of Amadeus (who went to Nove), is apparently thinking about the Carlo Conti hypothesis: host loved by the public, great professional and great connoisseur of music (with a past as a DJ). If Carlo Conti were to say yes to the (alleged) call from Rai, Panariello and Pieraccioni could also arrive in Sanremo. The three Tuscans, lifelong friends, would find themselves once again on that very important stage.

Once the five editions of Amadeus have been archived, another great trial by fire arrives for Carlo Conti (because Sanremo has always been a difficult stage and requires a lot of attention). But Conti knows that car well, which he drove. He knows how to behave live, his aplomb and his elegance at the Sanremo that he hosted were unforgettable. According to those in the know, he has already started work. In a long interview with Il Corriere della Sera, Conti reveals: “In 2025 I will be 40 years old at Rai. For me at every renewal it is important that in addition to the driver there is the car. So far they have believed in me. Then, never say never: there is no certainty about tomorrow.” And after three editions, 2015-2016 and 2017, the fourth edition could arrive. But Conti, again at Corriere, speaking of Amadeus’ record ratings, underlines: “But I could never replicate it, I wouldn’t get there at 2 in the morning (laughs, ed.)! Amadeus has done a great job, but you can’t think about precedents, otherwise after Baudo no one would have had to do it anymore.”
