Friday 3 May 2024from 8.00 pm, to Florence appointments continue with SUSI lounge toPRIVÉ cultural lounge (via della Fornace, 9), a cultural project created by the nascent association SUSI ART COMPANY of Fabio Balzano, Enrica Berti and Virginia Puccianti. Three artists will be guests, perfect for the setting and the attitude of their visitors, giving life to an evening that will have as its theme one of the major intentions of the “Exchange Arts” association, a fitting example of what can happen with the collaboration of different talents.
The musical selection by COMPagNia ARTIstica SUSI and the interviews with the guests are the ingredients of the aperitif in the lounge, at 9.45pm the lounge susi show “Exchange arts” live painting, music and games with the public will be the highlights of the variety show. After his militancy in Piaceri Proletari (Piaceri Proletari-Materiali Sonori; Jungle su Jungle – Manita Dischi) Matteo Torretti (voice and guitar) returns to the stage with new sounds and ideas Pop melancholy, flashes of adolescent rock and atmospheres of the first republic Didje Doo presents “Vitalize It”, a long-experienced DJ with a fresh sound and afro-tropical rhythms. In 2021 he signed with Nickodemus’ New York label Turntables on the Hudson. His songs are appreciated by many DJs all over the world – Gilles Peterson, Nightmare On. Wax to name a couple – and danced on the dance floor by thousands of people. But he remains humble. His second album “Vitalize It” is out on May 24th which he will present at the SUSI lounge.
Live painting with Virginia Puccianti who will paint to the notes of Torretti and Didje Doo. Virginia Puccianti She defines herself as “Self-taught”. Painting is an art in progress where knowledge, curiosity, the instinct of gesture, the flow of water and matter come together to give shape to her feelings. Curiosity brought Virginia closer to the knowledge of the old ways of preparing colours, the natural pigments: spices, roots, minerals, flowers, plants, become the color that shapes her style combined with the use of coffee. She has experimented with a technique in which the development of the use of coffee both in its aqueous and material state, as well as in a dance the natural pigments and coffee grounds mix creating forms of thought.
