The accident occurred around 9.30am when, for reasons still under investigation, a car and a motorbike collided, ending up involving three other vehicles including a heavy vehicle. At the time the worst was feared, so much so that 4 ambulances (one from the White Cross and three from the Red Cross) and two medical vehicles rushed to the scene under code red conditions of maximum severity, alerted by the Regional Emergency Operations Room of Bergamo. to the Carabinieri of the provincial command of Bergamo.
As many as 8 people were involved, but their conditions immediately appeared less serious than expected. As a precaution, however, they were transported to the Papa Giovanni hospital in Bergamo, under yellow code.
