Rome, 17 June 2024 – Serena Bortone leaves Rai? This is the question that comes to the attention of viewers of his show, ‘What will be’, since the greeting in the last episode last night. A final episode which, at least on paper, should not indicate the cancellation of the program, but simply the end of the 2023-2024 season. Yet, the presenter’s words leave some impressions doubts.

Phrases that seem call a farewell both to the program and to working at Rai, an experience to which he already refers with a past tense (“I was honored”). They also raise doubts the emotion and his gestures staffframed while Bortone was taking leave of the audience.
It is undeniable that some tensions with the public service there are. Starting precisely from that April 20th, when the journalist read Antonio Scurati’s monologue on the Matteotti crime which for reasons not yet fully clarified was canceled by Rai.
The presenter’s words arrive a few days after the statements of the broadcaster’s CEO, Roberto Sergio, who returned to the ‘Scurati case’. “Burton she should have been fired for what she did, and instead she wasn’t punished. In no company would this be allowed a post against the company who he works for,” he said at an event organized by The paper.
