Claudio Amendola in tears, Hunziker asks for mercy

“But you can’t do a show like this, have mercy… I collapsed! Because we thought we were safe with this episode, we said: let’s make happier songs…” Good idea, that of Michelle Hunziker and its authors, for the third episode of I Canto Family on air Monday 3 June in prime time on Channel 5. However, a purpose that was completely wrecked right at the beginning of the broadcast when we begin to cry in the studio and practically never finish until the end of the broadcast.

Io Canto Family, the recap of yesterday’s episode 3 June: tears and emotions

The moment with the highest density of tears is certainly the heat that sees Sofia and her father Cristian compete against each other Carlotta and mother Erika. The first couple brings the song Take me out to dance and, where Luca Barbarossa sings “Sai mamma sai…etc.”, little Sofia starts with “Sai papi sai”… At the end of the performance the presenter still reaches them with a wet eye and says: “At ‘ciao papi ciao sono’ collapsed.” And then she reveals some good intentions: “We thought we were safe this episode”, but she says it laughing because at that point many tears had already fallen. But the pinnacle is reached when mother Erika and Carlotta arrive on stage, the youngest of all the contestants on the show, who her mother gave birth to when she was only 17 years old. Together they sing “Marvelous creature” and the heart already sinks when the little girl instinctively clings to her mother while she sings, but it doesn’t end there because at the end of the performance there is a video with a letter full of love from the young mother for her his little daughter. A letter so devastating from an emotional point of view to the point that, when Michelle Hunziker turns towards the jury to ask them to vote, Claudio Amendola begs her to send the advertisement: “Let us catch up for a moment.”

Even in this third episode, therefore, the common thread of the show led by Michelle Hunziker, much more than the performances, is the emotions. Like those that push little Marika to talk to her dad to apologize for not being as expansive as she would like in a moment which however pushes her, finally, to hug him complete with festive bells as background music. The young man Daniel instead, who sings with mother Giorgia, comes surprised by his father’s visit with whom he has a more complicated relationship with his mother and who is keen to make him feel her support, even here it ends with kisses, hugs and tears.

No tears, for once, for Chiara and her father Michele, who receive the surprise of Cristian, the girl’s boyfriend, who shows up “escorted” by Claudio Amendola, staging fear towards Michele, a former boxer. But a few words are enough to confirm that the man is actually a gentle giant with a heart of gold. One of the characters who has most entered into the hearts of the viewers of this show who, unfortunately, at the end of the evening, together with Chiara, has to leave Io Canto Family: they are the eliminated couple from the third episode.
