In the new episode of The Island of the Famousthe reality show hosted by Vladimir Luxuria broadcast on Canale 5 on Sunday 16 Maywe witness a completely unexpected leading test, with Khady Gueye screaming in pain when her hair gets caught on the “centrifuge” pole and Aras Senol gives her necklace to the influencer, who becomes the leader of the week (by Luxuria’s choice). The episode opens with a confrontation between Khady and Artur Dainese and continues with “fictitious do-goodism” of the castaways criticized by Alvina Verecondi Scortecci e Dario Cassini, eliminated in televoting with 5.99% of votes. There is no shortage of them surprises to Edoardo Franco who, after having shaved his hair to ensure a complete dinner for himself and his group, meets his girlfriend Valentina, and Edoardo Stoppa, who receives a video message from his two children and his mother. Island of the Famous 2024, episode of May 26: the tops
We give the first top to Aras Senol for the solidarity shown towards Khady Gueye when, during the challenge to decide the new leader, the influencer’s hair gets caught in the pole she is holding on to and the actor puts aside the desire to win to rush to her rescue . Too bad that his shirt also gets stuck on the pole… Another great gesture by Aras is to give up his leader necklace to Khady, effectively making her the only “guide” of the group (as confirmed by Luxuria), and wanting her act as his assistant until he fully recovers.
Applause also for the show Edoardo Franco and his girlfriend Valentina, one of the funniest, most spontaneous and super romantic moments of this edition, with the chef revealing that he received a slap in the face after the first kiss and that he made love with the girl in the bathroom of a Karaoke club: lots of jokes in between , sweet kisses and heartfelt hugs. But the biggest top, beyond the incredible friendliness of the couple (they really seem made for each other), is for the winner of MasterChef Italybecause he has the courage to shave himself clean for his own good and that of the entire group.
Also promoted Dario Cassini which, finally, makes itself felt after two decidedly subdued episodes, beyond a few jokes placed here and there. Today, however, he speaks with the “very hairless tongue“, as Luxuria repeats several times, remaining consistent with himself until the end, so much so that when he is eliminated from the televoting he does not hide his disappointment live, sitting on the boat after having “lost” the word. For us he could have given a lot to the reality show but had little time to prove it.
We give the last top to Edoardo Stoppa, so attached to his family that he completes a reward test in a minute just knowing that a gift awaits him and concerns, in fact, its effects. A motivation that for him is worth the effort, despite his tiredness: his family “source of inspiration“, the only thing that makes him resist in view of the final, or at least that’s what the castaway says.
Island 2024: the flops
We give the first flop to comparison between Khady Gueye and Artur Dainesenot only because it lasts an infinite amount of time, which is not even necessary given that nothing more is said than what has already been heard previously, but also because there is no absolute clarity, the topics are uninteresting and very boring: by now we know the characters of the two castaways, so why reiterate that she is “little smoke” and he “selfish“?
And speaking of lack of clarity and repetitiveness, Khady continues to say that she has protected Artur by avoiding revealing things he has done in the past and of which he should be ashamed (Matilde confirms that it is the famous food-gate: he is the one who stole the trash), but does dropping the bomb and then telling a half-truth make sense? At this point we agree with Edoardo Franco: “Rather, you don’t say anything“. We completely understand why Khady doesn’t want to go into details, but then why bring the subject up? Unless it’s all a strategy to appear loyal and honest in the eyes of the public, because in fact she could have simply not say nothing at that point. As for Artur, however, we are of the opinion that he should be more sincere towards everyone and tell the truth without hiding, especially now that it seems to have come to light.
We find it really sad that some castaways are filled with surprises on the Island (it is already the third for Edoardo Stoppa and the second for Edoardo Franco, for example) and others have not yet received even half of it (Aras Senol and Artur Dainese, among others). It is certainly not the reality show of fairness, and this has also been demonstrated several times by the comments of commentators and presenter, which is truly disconcerting nowadays, also because on the Island, as often said by Vladimir Luxuria, the competitors “they are all the same“, but it doesn’t seem that way to us.
Speaking of live comparisons, we also reject the intervention of Valentina Vezzali, who continues to attack the castaways from outside, and this time gets angry with Samuel Peron. We don’t want to criticize the reason, because we know little about their past (beyond what happened in Honduras), but we ask ourselves why not wait for the castaways to return home and talk about it in private? The Olympic champion prefers to attack on TV, without giving those directly involved the opportunity to resolve these issues in person, closing all relationships from the studio (it also happened in the last episode with Matilde Brandi). So perhaps the competitors are not wrong in calling it “childish”.
