Who wins Wimbledon 2024? Bookmakers’ odds for betting: Sinner and Alcaraz close

Wimbledon is very close. From Monday we will all move to the All England Club for the third Slam of the season; two weeks of last-ditch fight for one of the most iconic tournaments on the world scene. And for betting experts, the first favorite is blue, and goes by the name of Jannik Sinner.

A detail that we would never have imagined until three years ago, before Matteo Berrettini’s 2021 final. But the Italian movement now has the world number 1, who has shown excellent improvements in two years so much so that last week he won his first tournament on grass in Halle. His odds for bettors range between 2.50 and 2.62, but the scoreboard wasn’t exactly kind: we’ll talk about that shortly.

Behind him the second favourite is Carlos Alcaraz. The Spaniard didn’t impress at Queen’s, but he still remains the reigning champion. For this reason the agencies reward him, with a slightly higher share, among the 2.50 and 3.25. ‘Only’ third favourite Novak Djokovicon which there are question marks regarding his physical condition, his victory pays around five times the stakes.

The others’ odds are much higher. Alexander Zverev is given at 15.00 by the betting agencies, slightly better than Daniil Medvedev and Hubert Hurkacz (17.00). At 21 instead there is Matteo Berrettini, like Jack Draper and Alex De Minaur: the Roman, however, is on a collision course with Sinner in the second round, and the two Italians are certainly not very happy about it. Lorenzo Musetti is also quoted, brought to 101, almost double that of Tommy Paul, who beat him in the final at Queen’s: a victory of his is worth 51 times the stake.
