Today’s edition of “Il Corriere dello Sport” focuses on the negotiations of the day in Serie A.
Finally Davide Nicola (51) to Cagliari, by tomorrow it will also be official. Empoli and the Sardinian club have effectively closed the deal to release the Piedmontese coach, who for several weeks had promised himself to the rossoblù by tying himself to a two-year plus one contract worth around 1 million euros per season. In yesterday afternoon’s meeting between ds Roberto Gemmi and director Nereo Bonato, the final steps of the operation were also defined: as per schedule, the Sardinians will welcome defender Sebastiano Luperto (27), identified to replace Alberto Dossena (25) and Nicola’s true favourite.
The Tuscans will receive around 3/3.5 million euros, while the player has said yes to a three-year contract. Returning to Dossena, he expected the return of the prosecutor from Germany to define the boy’s contractual aspects and so it happened. Agreement closed with Como until 2028, with the Sardinians receiving around 8 million euros plus 2 million in bonuses from his departure. Returning to Cagliari, Lorenzo Lucchesi (21) confirms himself as an option, but the young defender’s future will be decided during the training camp with Fiorentina.
GASPAR. All confirmed also for Kialonda Gaspar (26) at Lecce. The Angolan defender was announced yesterday on the Giallorossi’s channels: it is a permanent purchase, with the centre-back having signed a contract until 2027 with an option for the following two years. For the attack of Luca Gotti’s team, the M’Bala Nzola (27) option remains valid, even if to date the costs of the deal seem out of reach for the Salento team.
TERMINATION. Gerard Deulofeu (30) has terminated his contract (expires 2026) with Udinese: he will use the club’s facilities and will remain a guest of the Friulians for treatment. He said goodbye to his fans with a chilling letter published on social media and quickly went viral.
Adrien Semper (26) is a name for Cagliari and Empoli. With Como also targeting former Roma goalkeeper Pau Lopez (29) for the goal. However, the Spaniard has a lot of market: other Serie A clubs and some Iberian clubs also like him.
