Information meeting on Fraud Prevention. An appointment to inform and protect the community

On 26 June 2024, at 6.30 pm, at the Cascinagrossa Library, an important information meeting organized by the City of Alessandria will be held, in collaboration with the Prefecture of Alessandria and the Human Art association. The event, entitled “Together al Sicuro”, is dedicated to the dynamics of scams, how to recognize them, prevent them and support potential victims.

Objectives of the Meeting: The meeting aims to provide useful and practical information to help elderly people and potential victims of scams. During the evening, the networking and proximity work carried out by the local police and agents, together with the Human Art association, will be presented. This collaborative approach is fundamental to creating a safer community that is aware of the threats that can affect the most vulnerable citizens .

Importance of Prevention: Scams, especially those targeting seniors, are a growing problem. Often, victims are unaware of the dangers and can easily fall into scammers’ traps. Informing and raising awareness among the population is the first step to reduce the risk of scams and create a support network that can intervene promptly.

Community Involvement: The meetings are aimed at citizens and, in particular, at all those people who play a role in contact with potential victims. Educators, social workers, family and friends can become valuable allies in preventing scams by spreading the information they learn and offering practical support.
