The climb up the ancient soldiers’ patrol path will, in fact, be open to the public starting June 28th and will be usable independently, without the need to book a guided tour, after purchasing a dedicated ticket. This is a new individual visit experience, which will complement the guided tour proposals already active.

After more than one hundred steps, with the possibility of a lift for people with mobility difficulties and strollers, you can reach the top floor of the Treasure Tower and from there admire the urban skyline from several points of view: from Duomo at the Unicredit Towerdal Bell tower of San Gottardo in Corte al Vertical Forestup to the buildings of Giovanni Muzio e Gio Ponti and at CityLife Towersembracing with one gaze the transformation of Milan, from the ancient medieval grid to the contemporary city.

At the time of the Sforza family, the Castle was a military fortress, as well as the ducal residence. A path of dedicated panels will tell the visitor about its history and the different elements of its defense system: from the ancient wall of the Ghirlanda, to the Rivellino of Santo Spirito, up to the loopholes, machicolations and battlements. There will also be mention of the legends that made the Castle famous.
