From July 1st the attention phase corresponding to the YELLOW COLOR CODE throughout the regional territory, the validity of which is potentially foreseen until September 15th.
It is recommended to manage the burning of stubble, wood and other plant residues during agricultural and forestry work with the utmost caution; Burning should not be carried out in the presence of wind, and it is recommended to limit it to the early hours of the day.
During the aforementioned period the burning activities of plant residues in the vicinity of woods, fruit chestnut groves, controlled and cultivated truffle groves, poplar groves, wood arboriculture systems, firm lands and firm, shrubby or bushy lands, or at a distance of less than 100 meters from their external edges, are permitted in the absence of wind and only in the morning as long as optimal humidity conditions persist, the fires must in any case be put out by 11.00 am.
The numbers to call (the call is free) in case of sighting of a forest fire are:
- 115 to be called in case of fire (emergency number of the National Fire Brigade);
- 1515 for reporting offenses and behavior at risk of forest fire (environmental emergency number of the Carabinieri – Forestry speciality);
- 800841051 (regional toll-free number to also be used for advance warning of fires or controlled burning of plant material deriving from agricultural and forestry work).
