DP World Tour: Guido Migliozzi won the KLM Open
Greater Italy in Holland. The Vicenza native overcame Joe Dean and Marcus Kinhult in the playoffs and signed the Italian team’s second success of the season on the continental circuit. Also in the top ten were Andrea Pavan (4th), Matteo Manassero (7th) and Filippo Celli (10th).

An excellent overall performance on the eve of the 81st Italian Open presented by Regione Emilia-Romagna scheduled for next week (27-30 June, Adriatic Golf Club, Cervia) and also a good signal on Olympic day , by Migliozzi and Manassero who will represent Italy at the next Paris Olympics (1-4 August, Le Golf National).

Prowess in the playoff – In a final full of strong emotions, Migliozzi, after having been at the top together with others and Pavan, who recovered from 22nd place, seems out with three holes to go, but with two birdies (16th and 18th) for the 70 (-1) returned to his two opponents who were already in the clubhouse. On the first extra hole birdie for the three contenders, then on the second Kinhult sent the ball into the water and didn’t go beyond par and Dean missed the putt to match the blue’s winning birdie.
Migliozzi scored the fifth seasonal success of the Italian professionals, the second on the DP World Tour, after that of Matteo Manassero in the Jonsson Workwear Open in March, and the three on the Alps Tour of Edoardo Raffaele Lipparelli (New Giza Open), of Gianmaria Rean Trinchero (Tunisian Golf Open) and Mattia Comotti (Memorial Giorgio Bordoni by AON). It is confirmation of the vitality of Italian golf.
