After a long bureaucratic process, work has finally begun on the adaptation of the MOF (Fondi Fruit and Vegetable Market) building intended to house the new Police Station. Completion of the structure is scheduled for January 30, 2025.
The transfer of the Commissariat to the MOF represents a project born from the synergy of various local authorities and institutions, with the aim of strengthening security and legality in the Fondi area.
The President of the MOF, Bernardino Quattrociocchi, expressed great satisfaction with the start of the work: “We finally see this important objective, for which we have worked tenaciously for years, materialize. The new police station will not only represent a fundamental point of reference for the community, but will also guarantee the police officers, led by the Deputy Police Chief Raffaele Iasi, a modern and functional headquarters, suited to their operational needs, in order to best carry out their duties. their duty to protect public safety”.
Quattrociocchi also expressed heartfelt thanks to Prefect Falco and Police Commissioner Gargiulo for their decisive commitment in achieving this goal. He also expressed the hope that the new Prefect and the newly installed Police Commissioner, Fausto Vinci, will soon be able to visit the MOF to continue the fruitful work undertaken by their predecessors.
The new Police Station represents only the first piece of a broader redevelopment project of the MOF, which aims to transform it into a cutting-edge multi-service hub. Thanks to funding from the PNRR and funds allocated by the Lazio Region, further infrastructural interventions will be carried out aimed at improving the services offered to operators and the local agri-food system.
The arrival of the Police Commissariat at the MOF marks an important step towards strengthening security and legality in Fondi, underlining the joint commitment of local institutions for the development and progress of the territory.
