AGI – The toll from an explosion that occurred after midnight at the Aluminum plant in via Ebner in the industrial area of Bolzano is six injured, four of whom are said to be in serious condition. The injured person judged to be in danger of life is hospitalized in Bolzano, the others in specialized centers in Verona, Milan and Murnau in Bavaria. The firefighters and the State Police were on site.
It was past midnight when the alarm went off from the Aluminum company in via Toni Ebner following a strong explosion. The fire broke out in the warehouse. Several employees working on the night shift at the company which has been producing aluminum since 1936 were involved. The certain number of injured people is six, four of them are in very serious conditions, but there could also be eight who have suffered minor injuries. During the night the workers in code red following the burns were transported, one to Bolzano, and the others to specialized hospitals in Verona, Padua and Murnau in Bavaria. The causes of the explosion and the identity of the injured are not yet known.
