A fire of probable malicious origin developed on the afternoon of Wednesday 19 June, on the side of I was shocked of the hill of the Camaldoli to Naples. Immediately alerted by calls from citizens, the firefighters went to the scene and tried to contain the area of the flames.
It is a wooded area which, however, is difficult to reach with launches connected to tankers, so the intervention of aerial vehicles was requested.

To avoid problems with the electricity cables, the energy manager, Terna, was asked to disconnect the cables before the intervention from above: around 6pm a helicopter with a extinguishing basket began to fly over the area but the flames have not yet been put out.
The fire, supported by the breeze, began to move back down the hill, approaching the inhabited area of the Soccavo area and causing alarm among residents.
