THE NATIONAL CYBERSECURITY AGENCY HAS TAKEN CHARGE OF THE INSTALLATIONS. MAJORINO (PD), “REGION MUST CLARIFY WHAT REALLY HAPPENED”
(mi-lorenteggio.com) Milan, 07 June 2024 – “After yesterday’s hacker attack, telephone services have been partially restored at the ASST Rhodense. A company crisis unit was established in the hours immediately following the hacker attack, coordinated by the Company’s General Manager. Today the National Cybersecurity Agency has taken charge of the systems and is managing the work of all the operators involved”.
The General Welfare Directorate of the Lombardy Region communicated this in a note.
The Welfare DG also informs that “the IT services of the healthcare facilities that use the Aria Data Center have been restored, after being interrupted last night due to a disruption affecting the regional technological infrastructure. Hospital activities continued regularly without any suspension.”
“There is still a lot of uncertainty about what happened yesterday to the IT system of some healthcare facilities in Lombardy. We ask the Region to explain what really happened, which defense elements did not work enough to allow the software in use to collapse. The security of healthcare data is too important, and it is serious that entire healthcare facilities are paralyzed for hours. We want to know if the Region, and Aria Spa for it, has done everything possible to protect itself from events like this”.
