ROME – France wins 1-0 against Austria in the opening match of the European Championship Group D. Didier Deschamps’ national team is not convincing, getting the 3 points thanks to Wober’s own goal. In the afternoon matches of Group E, Romania defeated Ukraine 3-0with goals from Stanciu, Marin and Dragus; Belgium, with a bad day for Lukaku, who had two goals canceled out by VAR, lost to Slovakia 0-1, with the winning goal scored by Schranz.
