Bad accident for Gordon Ramsay: “Lucky to be alive”

“I’m lucky to still be alive,” Gordon Ramsay told his followers. Visibly shaken and scared, the chef had a bad accident.

The kitchen? A place where injury is just around the corner, there is no shadow of a doubt: burns, cuts, bruises of all kinds – getting hurt, when you spend a lot of time in the kitchen, is definitely probable. Yet this is not the case Gordon Ramsay, returning from a bad situation accident which could have cost him his life.

The announcement comes from our protagonist himself in the form of a short video published on his personal social showcase. Ramsay evidently is shaken, scared: his left hand trembles and visibly twitches as he explains what happened to him. We’ll make it short for you: it was a bicycle accident, particularly – as is evident both from the limits and from the chef’s way of speaking – violent.

How is Gordon Ramsay?

“I am lucky to be still alive“, says the chef and famous television face. We are sure that among our readers there will be a more or less large fringe of those who think that Ramsay is exaggerating, but his condition is more than eloquent: “The helmet made me saved his life” continued our protagonist. “I’m still in a lot of pain, but I know by getting over it. This incident… It really shook me.”

Gordon basically seized the opportunity to reassure his followers about his own conditions of health and, at the same time, launch a important appeal – always wear a helmet. “It doesn’t matter if you intend to take a short trip” explains the chef, “or if it’s uncomfortable or costs a lot of money: wear it. I wouldn’t be here if it wasn’t for the helmet.”

The pain, as we mentioned in the previous lines, is evident both from Ramsay’s way of speaking – which clearly clashes with the fiery character which has, at least in part, contributed to fueling the myth surrounding his television character – as well as his own physicist. “I didn’t break any bones or suffer any serious injuries, but I’m a little bruised and… Well, and I look a bit like a purple potato”.

The chef therefore raises his jacket to reveal a flank swollen, of a deep purple reminiscent of pomace. “I am grateful to all the doctors, nurses and staff at Lawerence + Memorial Hospital in New London (Connecticut) who cared for me and examined me” concluded Ramsay, “but above all I am grateful for my helmet which he saved my life. Happy Father’s Day (in the United States it is celebrated on June 16th, ed) to all of you and do not neglect your safety.”
