Accident yesterday in the early afternoon in Ravenna on the Classicana: a scooter rider was seriously injured. The man, a forty-five year old, was urgently transported by helicopter to the Bufalini hospital in Cesena.
The accident occurred around 3pm at the point where the Classicana crosses via Staggi.
Based on the initial investigations carried out by the Ravenna Traffic Police, it seems that the man was entering the Classicana from via Staggi when the impact with the oncoming car occurred. The vehicles were traveling from south to north.
At that point the scooter collided with a Fiat with four people on board: the car went off the road and stopped in a field, as did the scooter. The man who was riding ended up on the asphalt and was hit by another car that was arriving at the time and suddenly found the 45-year-old in front of it. Rescue services were immediately called: the scooter rider was intubated by the 118 medics and transported to Bufalini in serious condition. Minor injuries to the occupants of the cars involved. In addition to the traffic police, the fire brigade and a patrol of the local traffic police intervened on site.
In the morning another accident, not serious, on Via Trieste, had caused long queues given the already intense traffic of people heading to the sea.
