“The Region is honored to have in its territory research and higher education institutes of the highest level and whose prestige is recognized on a global scale. Their activity contributes to increasing the attractiveness of Friuli Venezia Giulia and to pushing it into the development and innovation We cannot imagine economic growth without a high level of education that allows us to be competitive at a local, national and international level. Knowledge and knowledge are directly proportional to the freedom of a community and its ability to choose in which direction to grow without suffering the pressures of systems external to their reference values”.
These are the words of the Heritage Councilor Sebastiano Callari, who this afternoon represented the regional council at the meeting of the members of Mib Trieste School of management, the higher education school which for over 35 years has been offering specialist master’s degrees and training projects to enhance talents , develop skills and strengthen the leadership of people and businesses.
After the institutional intervention of the councilor, who brought greetings from the governor Massimiliano Fedriga, and the deputy mayor of Trieste Serena Tonel, during the meeting the aspects linked to the relationship between energy security and environmental transition were explored in particular. In this regard, Callari wanted to underline the convergence between the Region and the MIB in imagining the future of Friuli Venezia Giulia.
“It is essential – underlined the representative of the regional executive – to find the right middle ground between the need to safeguard the environment for the benefit of future generations and to implement a path with which to maintain the keys to the industrial and sociopolitical model in the hands of Western democracies. We have the duty to combine the concept of technological sustainability with those of environmental and economic sustainability – concluded Callari – the role of higher education is central in deciding the fate of a community we must all feel responsible.”
